The 5th edition of the art festival MŁODE WILKI 18 will be held on the 16th-17th of November 2018. Eighteen artists will arrive to Szczecin from all over the country to present their experimental films, performances, soundart pieces, sculptures, installations, utopian art projects and concepts for creative endeavors which are yet to be implemented. The collaborative exhibition will open in TRAFO – contemporary art gallery in Szczecin and one of the festival partners.
This year’s edition of MW18 ventures out into the public space of the city. Local initiatives as well as public and socially engaged art will be taken under scrutiny. Jury members who will select the winners of both competitions include Rafał Jakubowicz, Agnieszka Kilian, Joanna Rajkowska and Ewa Tatar. We are pleased to announce that Józef Robakowski will attend the festival as the esteemed guest of honor.
Lucio Capece (Argentina) and Sebastian Buczek (Poland) will also perform their clarinet music as part of Młode Wilki 18.
Jury will select eighteen projects to be unveiled during the festival, which would be eligible for the following awards:
GRAND PRIX: PLN 5000,00
TWO SPECIAL MENTIONS: PLN 2000,00 each
Last but not least, we strongly encourage all high school students to enter the MŁODE WILKI ½ completion. The winner will be exempt from entrance exams and accepted straight away into the studies programme of their own choice run by the Faculty of Painting and New Media at the Academy of Art.
