A show by Marlena Kudlicka
In her latest presentation ‘a divided dot.review’ Marlena Kudlicka reinterprets the concept of ‘a review’ as a further part of the ‘a divided dot’ project, which has been realized in her recent works.
The concept of ‘review’ represents another analysis of the chronology of the division point, which is also a review of the current exhibition and an overview of the previous exhibitions. Each edition expands the project into increasingly complex sculptural and language structures.
A review plays analytical-critical and informative functions, but for Marlena it is not a standalone description of a work, but, analyzed as the concept itself, it becomes the medium, part of the exhibition, and in fact the exhibition itself. In the ‘a divided dot.review’ project the distinction between the form and content does not exist.
As a result, the project ‘ a divided dot.review’ is site specific text sculptural composition conceived within the gallery frame, where Marlena is turning the room into a format of ‘art magazine’.

*Jagna Ciucha in her newest project Spin-off invites artists to let them create their shows at the gallery. The proposed exhibitions are organized in a frame of her residency program at Glassbox. As a result of Ciuchta’s initiative, she will compose her own final solo show that is based on a photographic documentation of each show that took place at the gallery.
