Łódź Design Festival 2016 In Our Lens The biggest festival of its kind in Poland

This year Lodz Design Festival, the biggest festival of its kind in Poland, celebrated its 10th anniversary. The theme of this edition was „Identity”. The curators were trying to show how designers, users and the mass production in general shape the character of the objects and spaces we live in. The jubilee was an opportunity to summarise and make plans for the future – for example “The Future is now” exhibition analysed the changes brought by the development of new technologies. The 10th edition also took a glimpse at the past of contemporary design by showing exhibitions on vintage-inspired furniture, pressed glass classics and objects using ethnic motives.
