Space as a Place
Artists: Kama Sokolnicka, Piotr Blajerski, Krystian Czaplicki, Łukasz Rusznica and Olaf Brzeski
The exhibition “Space as a Place” concentrates on the relationship between space and identity. Using a wide variety of media, young artists from Wroclaw examine the role of space in different contexts and relationships. How is an identity formed by means of different spaces, whether it be an apartment, a house, a neighbourhood, a district, a city or a region? How does the environment shape people? And vice versa: How do people and their experiences influence the space around them? This exhibition was initiated on the occasion of Wroclaw’s tenure as European Capital of Culture 2016.
It will open on 8 July 2016 at the Haus am Lützowplatz gallery in Berlin.
