dc3 Art Projects is proud to present Industry, an exhibition of ten artists from across North America and Europe whose work examines social constructs of beauty and the industries that surround it. The business of human aesthetics is a multi-billion dollar juggernaut that encompasses fashion, cosmetics, medical and surgical interventions and entertainment. Industry looks at artists who have taken this ubiquitous contemporary phenomenon as inspiration for their work, reflecting on the human industry at its most basic and at its margins, using photography, painting, performance, video, sculpture and installation.
