“Vanishing Point” is the title of American cult road movie from 1970’s about car delivery driver chased by police on a road from Denver to San Francisco. But it is also a point in space or time beyond which something disappears or ceases to exist. The exhibition is devoted to the topic of disappearance of art object, strategies of hiding the artwork, failure and lie. It seeks also for artistic practices which attempt to escape commercial market radar or play with its rules. It consists of seven artistic positions which approach the notion of vanishing point from very different angles and perspectives.
GUEST ROOM is practice of sharing the space and independent exhibition-in-the exhibition. It tries to take advantage of architecture of Ausstellungsraum Klingental to invite other art space – deuxpiece – to contribute with their own conception and presentation of video work by Waschmachinegruppe.
