The Jan Matejko Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków invites you to the Final Year Exhibition, providing an opportunity to view works created by young artists studying at and shaping the face of Poland’s oldest art academy. The vernissages will begin on 9 June at 10:00.
Seven faculties and nine courses. Nine hundred people studying at Krakow’s Academy of Fine Arts – both those at the beginning of their artistic path and those who are already counting down the hours until their diploma defence. Among those showing their works will be both debutants and participants in prestigious reviews, as well as winners and laureates of numerous competitions. From 9 June, they will be presenting the works they have been working on over the past months.
The Final Year Exhibition is also the result of a gathering of young artists creating under the guidance of experienced teachers. The vibrancy attributed to youth is masterfully guided by the sensitivity and experience of the best artists.
Detailed schedule of openings of the Final Year Exhibition on 9 June:
10:00 – vernissage of works by students of the Faculty of Conservation and Restoration of Works of Art (u. Lea 27-29)
12:00 – vernissage of works by students of the Faculty of Sculpture and the Faculty of Painting (pl. Matejki 13)
13:00 – vernissage of works by participants of the Young Academy course, carried out as part of the Bodybuilding programme (pl. Matejki 13)
14:00 – vernissage of works by students of the Intermedia Faculty (23 Berka Joselewicza St.)
16:00 – vernissage of works by students of the Faculty of Interior Design and the Faculty of Graphics (21 Syrokomli St.)
18:00 – vernissage of works by students of the Faculty of Industrial Forms (9 Smoleńsk Street)
The exhibitions will be on display until 16 June 2024.
On Thursday, 13 June, a meeting will be held during which Friends and Patrons of the Academy will be honoured. The event will be an opportunity to meet all those who are directly involved in the creation of young art.
