Your Swath, My Jab
HONZA ZAMOJSKI, CORNELIA BALTES, AMY SILLMAN
Well, hello! Oh shit. Hello? So nice to meet you! Yes! There were Triscuits. There were staff people. I got into position in a heavily-pholstered chair. There was some conversation going on about how teenagers dress like prostitutes. Gee, I don’t have much to bring to the table here since I forgot to have children. So I start thinking about holes. Objects & subjects and their difficulties. Isn’t the technique of art to make objects unfamiliar and form difficult? Is it true that the object itself is not important?
I read that. This reminds me of a Russian story by Daniil Kharms. I won’t recount it here but it concerns a man without eyes or ears and no hair eather. End of story.
