Competition for the Best Diploma Project of the University of the Arts Poznan is a form of executing the will of Maria Dokowicz, who graduated from our school in 1932.
For decades, money donated by Dokowicz allowed to fund travel scholarships to the US for the outstanding graduates of the University. The form of the comeptition has changed throughout the years.
Currently, each Department submits the nomination of the graduate who prepared the best diploma project. Main prizes are awarded by the Senate of the UAP in two categories: fine arts and design. For several years, The Professor Alicja Kępińska Award for the best theoretical diploma has been awarded.
Due to the scale of the event, for the last few years the competition exhibition has been held in one of the halls of Poznan International Fair. Eech year, the space is arranged specifically for the exhibition.
