We invite you to participate in the 2nd edition of the international Biennial Via Carpatia 2023, organized by IMO Galeria in Stary Sącz. This artistic event is dedicated to the young art of New Europe. The competition is addressed to artists up to 45 years old. We invite artists from regions related to Via Carpatia area, from Klaipeda on the Baltic Sea to Thessaloniki on the Aegean Sea, from Latvia, Lithuania, Ukraine, Poland, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Serbia, Kosovo, Bulgaria, North Macedonia and Greece (with the exception of capitals). We accept works made in classic and new techniques, excluding images generated by artificial intelligence.
Deadline for submitting digital reproductions of artworks: August 1 – September 30, 2023 to [email protected].
All details regarding the conditions of participation and prizes can be found in the Regulations published at: https://imogaleria.pl/biennale-via-carpatia/. The expected sum of prizes is PLN 48,000 (approx. EUR 10,000) and additional gratification (PLN 300, approx. EUR 67) for each of the 45 artists qualified for the post-competition exhibition. The leading motto of this year’s edition is the title of the poem “Song about the end of the world” by Czesław Miłosz.
