The central themes of Janin’s work are space, memory and time, as well as “in-between” states. Her works invite reflection on the arbitrariness of social roles, their fluid boundaries and the place of individual freedom within the workings of state and society.

Solo shows and screenings include Kunstverein Salzburg; Zachęta National Gallery of Art, Warsaw; Ujazdowski Castle Centre for Contemporary Art in Warsaw; Kunsthalle Wien Project Space; National Museum, Warsaw; ASAB Bogota and MAM Museu de Arte Moderna Rio de Janeiro.
