Contemporary Lynx Magazine, TRAFO – Centre for Contemporary Art in Szczecin and Griffin Art Space Foundation are pleased to invite you to a special event: the ‘pre-premiere’ of the upcoming 7th issue of Contemporary Lynx – the biannual art magazine dedicated to promoting Polish visual culture around the world. Each issue has a specific theme unifying all the content and is treated as a collectable item: stamped, numbered and with a cover designed by Polish artists.
This time, the content of the magazine is centred on urban art and art in public spaces with the special cover made live by one of the most original and committed street artists – Sławek ZBIOK Czajkowski. During the weekend, 3-5 March, ZBIOK will be hand-painting each cover at the TRAFO. Come along and see how the artist creates a unique cover for each issue of the magazine turning the covers into a piece of art.
This performative action is open to everyone (free admission) and is accompanied by a rich programme including; a workshop, a meeting with the editors-in-chief, a Q&A session with the artist, an official opening, and an after party at the club Loft Kultury.

Published twice a year and distributed internationally, it has developed a strong reputation, along with the broad online following.
TRAFO located in Szczecin is the youngest public centre for contemporary art in Poland. Constructed originally in 1912 as an electrical transformer station, the building was renovated and re-opened in 2013 as a place for the presentation of interdisciplinary, inter-medial and site-specific works by contemporary international artists. The programme seeks to take into consideration the multi-faceted history of the both the city and its own building by focusing on themes of transformation and identity in creative production and presentation.
Griffin Art Space is both a patron of the arts and organiser of cultural projects. It invites prominent galleries and cultural events to the unique spaces owned by the Griffin Group, where they are revitalised through their new context. The Griffin Art Space supports bold artistic projects and pursues ambitious creative programmes, making art available to a wide audience. Since 2015, Griffin Art Space is a main patron of the Contemporary Lynx Magazine. Other collaborations include Wro Art Centre, Kraków Photomonth, Rajza po Kato Festival.
