The sister fair of Frieze features more than 130 leading modern and historical galleries from around the world, which showcases art from the ancient era and Old Masters to the late 20th century.
The broad span of nearly the whole history or art means that ancient sculptures are shown alongside pop art, medieval manuscripts next to dada artworks, African masks and tribal jewellery next to Henri Matisse. These unexpected juxtapositions give an impression of national gallery rooms taken apart and reassembled in random order, into a fantastic jigsaw.
