LYNX x The Polish Institute in Paris Polish Contemporary Art in the International Art Collections

The Polish Culture Institute in Paris and Contemporary Lynx are thrilled to announce a panel discussion, “Art Collectors’ Talk: Polish Contemporary Art in International Art Collections.” Organised in association with Art Paris, the event will take place on Thursday, April 4, 2024, from 18:30 to 20:30 at the Institut Polonais de Paris, located at 86 rue de la Faisanderie, 75016 Paris.

This engaging discussion will feature panellists:

Ettore Molinario is the photography collector, economist and the founder of the Molinario Collection. He transitioned from a successful career in the financial sector to pursue his love for art. Molinario is recognised as one of the most influential photography collectors in Italy. He also collaborated with several universities as a visiting professor on courses and workshops dedicated to photography and the art market, including the University of Milan and the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart.
Oona Doyle is a Paris-based curator and writer. She graduated from Goldsmiths College, London, and is currently in charge of Publications, Research, and Curating at Thaddaeus Ropac. Her research focuses on contemporary art through the prism of poetry and anthropology, with a focus on the intersection of cyberfeminism and folklore. She spent a year working at the Tate in London, researching post-war and contemporary women artists from Eastern Europe. Currently, she is presenting Re-enchantment, a group exhibition at Thaddaeus Ropac/ Pantin.
Michał Molski is an art collector and the founder of MOLSKI gallery&collection in Poznań, Poland. His collection mainly comprises works of Polish artists working in geometric abstraction. Molski Gallery focuses on creating an intergenerational dialogue within the Polish art scene, showcasing works by both established and emerging artists.

The discussion will be moderated by Natalia Barbarska (the Institut Polonais de Paris) and Sylwia Krasoń (Contemporary Lynx Magazine) in French and English.
