Paweł Baśnik (born 1992) – graduated from the Department of Painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Wroclaw. In his works, he focuses on the motif of vanitas, less so in the depicted topic and the visual side of the work, but more in the texture of the paint and the very act of painting. He creates his works to emphasise rather than mask the materiality and corporality of painting as a medium.
