As the year draws to a close, we have compiled a list of 7 opportunities and Open Calls for artists from all over the world to participate in and enter the new year with prospects for exciting projects!
Hestia Artistic Journey (Poland)
On 1 October, began the call for applications for the second edition of the National Grant Programme Hestia Artistic Journey, implemented by ERGO Hestia and the Hestia Artistic Journey Foundation.The slogan of this edition is ‘Opening Time’, as one of the most important objectives of the programme is to promote accessibility in its broadest sense. The programme is aimed at cultural institutions based in Poland and individual artists collaborating with Polish institutions to create an exhibition concept to reinforce the message of shared responsibility for the world we live in.Projects selected in the programme will be presented between 1 April 2025 and 30 June 2026.
Grant amount:
The total grant amount is PLN 500,000 (individual donations up to PLN 100,000).

Beyond Future Art Prize 2024 (Worldwide)
The Beyond Future Art Prize aims to highlight underrepresented voices in contemporary art, with a focus on women artists and showcasing their art primarily centred on environmental issues. This year’s edition titled ‘Empowerment and Expression: Representing Women Artists’ invites both amateur and professional female artists from around the world aged 15 years or older to submit their work that focuses on the themes of the environment, sustainable living and climate change. There is no admission fee.
Prize:
The winner of the 2024 competition will receive a prize of HK$33,000.

Puchi Award VII (Worldwide)
The 7th edition of the Puchi Award organised by La Casa Encendida and Fulgencio Pimentel calls individual artists and groups to submit original and innovative book proposals in the field of comics and illustrated books, as well as any hybrid projects. The Puchi Award is a unique opportunity focusing on bold projects with their own personality and clear artistic interest, in which images play a central role in the narrative or exhibition development of the work. There is no admission fee.
Prize:
€10,000 (VAT and other taxes included, as an advance payment for the publishing rights of the work) and the publication of the work with Fulgencio Pimentel.

Royal Society of British Artists, Annual Exhibition 2025 (UK)
The Royal Society of British Artists is inviting members and non-member artists of diverse nationalities and backgrounds to participate in its next annual exhibition to be held at the Mall Gallery in London. The exhibition of selected works will take place from 26 February 2025 to 8 March 2025. The entry fee is £20 per work or £14 per work for artists aged 35 or younger.
Prize:
The main prize is £5,000 for work by a non-member, and £5,000 for work by a member of the RBA. Many other prizes are offered.

RBA Rome Scholarship & Rising Stars Exhibition 2025 (UK)
In addition, the Royal Society of British Artists is offering young artists up to the age of 35 who live, work or study in the UK the opportunity to undertake a month-long residency in Italy. Successful artists will reside at Sala Uno, a prestigious gallery in Rome, and their work will be exhibited at the RBA’s annual exhibition in 2026. Acceptable works include figurative painting, drawing, printmaking or sculpture. The registration fee is £10.
Prizes:
Three candidates will be shortlisted. The winner will receive £5000 prize money, four weeks accommodation in a self-contained apartment, studio space within the gallery, two meals per day and return flights to Rome. Two other candidates will receive £1000. All three candidates will have one work included in the RBA Annual Exhibition in 2026.

BBA Artist Prize and BBA Photography Prize 2025 (Germany)
The 10th anniversary edition of the BBA Artist Prize and the BBA Photography Prize 2025 calls artists and photographers from all over the world to participate in the artist competition and get the opportunity to present their work at Kühlhaus Berlin. Artists who submit their applications will have the chance to take part in the final exhibition and win the prize, which includes a solo exhibition at the BBA gallery. A maximum of six works and ten images can be submitted to the competition. The early application fee is €35.
Prizes:
1st prize in both competitions includes €1,000 (€500 production budget for solo exhibition and €500 for the artist), solo exhibition at BBA gallery in 2025/2026, an Artsy profile and online promotion.
