We selected for you a handy list of design festivals taking place in 2019. From Rovaniemi to Lodz, from Milan, Bucharest and Prague and London. Every year, in April, Salone Internazionale del Mobile and Fuorisalone define the Milan Design Week, the most important event in the world for design addicted. Fuorisalone is the set of events distributed in different areas of Milan on days when the Salone which is staged in the halls of Rho Fiera. Salone – is the largest trade fair of its kind in the world. The exhibition showcases the latest in furniture and design from countries around the world.
11 May – 9 June
Design Month Graz will bring the performance spectrum of the design scene to the fore for a month, promoting regional, national and international networking. The organisers announced that a dense and diverse program will be presented in the Austrian UNESCO City of Design. Exhibitions, lectures, workshops, presentations and guided tours bring the value and meaning of design to the public. 2019 edition will focus on the topic “Women & Design”.

Fashion, graphics and craft design all feature in this showcase of Romanian creativity, which will be in its sixth edition this year.

Lodz Design Festival (LDF) is an idea, people, action. The festival was created in 2007, adopting at its beginning a formula for reviewing the achievements of Polish design. Thanks to the dialogue with recipients from the very beginning, the festival program was enriched with new elements until it reached the current shape, which includes:
The heart of the festival is a collection of curatorial exhibitions created in relation to the annual guiding code, presenting different perspectives on design.

Gdynia design days is an annual festival which highlights the latest trends and good practice in the world of design. Gdynia Design Days is the leading Baltic region festival rich in curated exhibitions, lectures, workshops, talks and discussions, all aimed at professionals, entrepreneurs and design enthusiasts in search of new ways of working. Thus, in July Gdynia becomes the best place for both business and creative industries to meet and discuss how best to evolve through better design. The 12th edition of Gdynia Design Days leading theme is Polarisation understood as a dichotomy of views and opinions, broadening of collectivity, separation into opposing camps.

The vision of London Design Festival is to celebrate and promote London as the design capital of the world. London Design Festival was conceived by Sir John Sorrell and Ben Evans in 2003. Building on London’s existing design activity, their concept was to create an annual event that would promote the city’s creativity, drawing in the country’s greatest thinkers, practitioners, retailers and educators to a deliver an unmissable celebration of design.
19- 22 September
Located in the creative heart of East London, the London Design Fair is a four-day industry event that brings together 550 exhibitors from 36 countries, including; independent designers, established brands, international country pavilions, features and exhibitions. This is the largest trade destination during the London Design Festival.
Ever the years, Brussels Design September has become the annual flagship event for design enthusiasts. For one month, the city hosts an array of over 100 unmissable cultural and commercial events offering a meeting platform between the public and a great number of Belgian and international designers.
Brussels Design September will feature exhibitions, conferences, open houses, an Arts & Crafts tour, Commerce Design Brussels and Brussels Design Market. A multitude of dialogues between designers, architects and design lovers as well as the chance to discover urban trails between the many pop-up stores, shops, workshops, galleries and cultural spaces.

Designblok is an international show of contemporary furniture, industrial design, interior accessories, lights, fashion, and jewelry. Design festival takes place in Prague and offers exhibitions, contractual and marketing presentations, direct sales, encounters with professionals, media, trends, visions, plus a lab of the future.
Designblok, Prague International Design Festival is the largest selection of design and fashion show in Central Europe. The history of the festival dates back to 1999, when it was founded Jana Zielinski and Jiří Macek. Designblok traditionally shows a selection of works of designers and manufacturers from all over Europe, represents a new prestigious brands and prototypes of young and established designers and design studios. Designblok, consists of Superstudio, Openstudio and Art House. In addition, numerous galleries, showrooms and pop -up shops throughout Prague prepare a special program for visitors.
