An Installation Inspired by Transformation: ‘Exuva’ Brings Ada Sokół and Paloceras Together at PURO Warszawa Stare Miasto

What does transformation look like when it unfolds through light, sound, architecture and design?

From 25 to 28 June 2026, PURO Warszawa Stare Miasto hosts Exuva, an immersive exhibition created by Polish artist Ada Sokół in collaboration with the Helsinki-based eyewear brand Paloceras. Expanding their butterfly-inspired eyewear collection into a site-specific installation, the project invites visitors into a sensory environment where light, sound, flora, and architecture converge to explore metamorphosis, altered perception, and the movement between digital imagery and physical form.

Taking its title from the Latin word exuvia — the shell left behind after metamorphosis— the exhibition examines transformation as both a visual and bodily experience. Developed in partnership with Lexavala and NODE Workshop, the installation transforms PURO’s inner courtyard into a greenhouse-like setting where spatial design, sound and natural elements become integral to the work. Rather than presenting individual objects, the exhibition unfolds as an environment that encourages visitors to experience change through movement, atmosphere and perception.

At the heart of the project is a limited-edition eyewear collection designed by Ada Sokół and Paloceras. Inspired by butterfly forms, the pieces combine sculptural silhouettes with jewellery-like details, positioning eyewear as an object somewhere between design, adornment and wearable art. For Sokół, whose practice is primarily associated with digital image-making and 3D visual worlds, Exuva also marks a move into physical, spatial installation.

Beyond the eyewear itself, the exhibition incorporates lighting by Lexavala, floral interventions by NODE Workshop, and a soundscape curated by Unsound featuring a mixtape by Julek Płoski. Together, these elements create an immersive environment that extends the collaboration beyond design into a multidisciplinary installation.

Presented over four days, Exuva reflects PURO Hotels’ ongoing engagement with contemporary art and design while bringing together artistic practice, fashion and spatial installation within the setting of Warsaw’s Old Town.
