For seventeen years, Gdańsk and the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk have brought together some of the most promising emerging artists graduating from Poland’s public art academies. The annual “Best Art Diplomas” exhibition presents a carefully selected overview of recent diploma projects, offering insight into the themes, approaches, and artistic practices shaping a new generation of Polish artists.
The exhibition brings together works spanning painting, sculpture, photography, printmaking, intermedia, and performance. Alongside the presentation of emerging talent, the programme creates a space for dialogue between young artists and the professional art world, with awards, exhibitions, publications, and other forms of support helping graduates take their first steps beyond the academy.
This year, Contemporary Lynx awarded its prize to Mateusz Pecyna, recognising his work among the projects presented in Gdańsk. We are pleased to support an emerging artist at this important stage of his career and to be part of an initiative that has, for nearly two decades, helped bring new voices in Polish art to a wider audience.
Congratulations to Mateusz Pecyna and to all the artists participating in this year’s edition of “Best Art Diplomas.”
