Curated by Levi Galerie, the exhibition titled “A Moment for Eternity” showcased Spoerri’s remarkable creations for the first time in Romania. The iconic Levy Galerie, founded in 1970 by Thomas Levy, a long-standing friend and supporter of Spoerri, presented this exceptional collection. Located among others, in Hamburg, Germany, the gallery has championed a diverse programme rooted in Surrealism, Nouveau Réalisme, and Pop Art.

The fair’s organisers reintroduced the Romanian public,  the nonagenarian artist of Romanian origin to his homeland. Born in Galati, Romania, in 1930, Daniel Spoerri is not just an artist; he is also a dancer, poet, and director. As a co-signer of the “Manifest du Nouveau Réalisme” and the founder of “Eat Art”, Spoerri’s artistic journey is marked by the transformative power of objects. A simple shift in perspective can alter levels of perception and reality, exemplifying Spoerri’s mastery of his craft. His creative process often incorporates the metamorphosis of his own character, adding depth to his expressive artworks.
