Michał Korta – born in Bochnia, Poland, studied German philology and photography. He has been working in photography for more than 15 years and collaborates with the press, advertising agencies and international cultural institutions. He is also a lecturer on photography in Poland and Switzerland.
His project – Balkan Playground – this is the story of what the Balkans are today. Michal Korta travelled across the United States of the Balkans in the tradition of the great american road photographers. Exploring eight countries, sleeping in the car, with no plans, expectations or a return date, Michal has created a photographic series on the Balkan peninsula that shows people and places in that specific time in a universal way.
