Listen to the Podcast: Kitchen Conversations with Maisa Imamović, a writer, web developer, media artist and educator

Maisa Imamović is a writer, researcher, web designer and developer, media artist and educator based in Los Angeles. Text, code and conversation are her mediums. She is currently pursuing a PhD on the topic of Radical Web Development at the Media Arts + Practice department of the University of Southern California.

On the podcast, Maisa is speaking about her newest book Maisa in Webland. Detouring UX* Destinies, published by Set Margins’ in 2025. The book combines fiction, interviews, case studies and critical theory to shed light on the history of the web and offers examples of how we can still resist dominant digital structures and build alternative realities at a time when much of the web has been taken over by Big Tech.
