Contemporary Lynx is a proud media partner of the publication titled „Zadanie: Forma. Pracownia profesora Tadeusza Breyera w warszawskiej Akademii Sztuk Pięknych w latach 1923-1939” [„Task: Form. The Workshop of Professor Tadeusz Breyer in the Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts in years 1923-1939”] by Maria Anna Rudzka, published by the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. Rudzka traces the phenomena prevalent in sculpture and fine arts in general by zooming in on the activity of Breyer’s workshop in the 1920s and the culminating point of his students’ careers in the following decades. Making use of a previously obscured archive –  including documents, programmes, and iconographic material – the book provides a key to understanding the details that constitute teaching at the Academy of Fine Arts. The thorough analysis of the applied methods presents insights relevant to contemporary artistic education and – by filling the gaps in the history of XX century art in Poland – allows to properly interpret the work of figures already established in the Polish art scene.
