Fotofestiwal 2026: 25 Years of Photography in Łódź

One city that stops for photography — Łódź. From 18 to 28 June, it will become the centre of contemporary photography for the 25th time.

Born in 2001 from a student initiative at the Sociology Department, Fotofestiwal has grown into one of Europe’s most distinctive photography platforms, presenting artists including Roger Ballen, Viviane Sassen, and Cristina de Middel. This year’s edition brings together 150 artists from Poland and around the world, with over 30 exhibitions across the Main, Open, and City programmes. A call for entries for the SpinOFF programme will be announced soon.

More than an exhibition space, Fotofestiwal has always been a forum for conversations about photography. Twenty-five editions later, that hasn’t changed.

Contemporary Lynx is a media partner of Fotofestiwal 2026.
