Take part in the unique artistic event taking place at the Queen’s House, Royal Museums Greenwich. On 18 July, audiences are invited to experience a powerful live-art performance inspired by Crossings, a contemporary exhibition exploring migration, belonging and identity. Produced by Bold Mellon Collective in collaboration with HEAVADNY, Chen Xu, Oscar Rodriguez and Emilia Nurmukhamet, the performance combines sound, movement and poetry to reflect on migration as a shared human experience. Through embodied storytelling and collective artistic expression, the work explores the meaning of home, memory and connection.
The performances will take place at 12:30 pm and 2:00 pm. Following the first performance, visitors are welcome to join a free Community Collaging Workshop led by Amanda Kamanda. After the second performance, audiences can participate in a Q&A discussion with the artists, community members and advocates working in the fields of migration, refugee rights and LGBTQIA+ inclusion, exploring the challenges faced by queer migrants and the role of creative collaboration in building more inclusive futures.
The 2:00 pm performance and discussion will be British Sign Language (BSL) interpreted. All events are relaxed and accessible, with sensory toys and earplugs available for visitors.
