KIOSK: Fatherhood – birth announcement cards
KIOSK is looking for birth announcement cards, known as geboortekaartjes, designed by artist-fathers for an exhibition in late October exploring fatherhood and artistic practice. KIOSK welcomes a range of approaches to making the card, from elaborate graphic design to improvised photocopies.
The act of creating Geboortekaartjes to celebrate and announce the birth of their child(ren) is one of the very first creative acts for the father-parent during the period of the child’s birth. It marks a pivotal moment as fatherhood begins to profoundly reshape daily life, attention and artistic production. The individual cards will be displayed as a collection, forming a collective portrait of artists entering fatherhood.
KIOSK, established in 2010, is based in the former anatomical theatre of the Clinical and Outpatient Institute on Campus Bijloke and shows the work of both emerging and established names. The organisation aims to foster experimentation as well as cultural and artistic diversity.
Application Deadline: Post it by 16 October 2026.
Who can apply? Artist-fathers who designed and created their own geboortekaartjes.
How to apply? Post your work to KIOSK (tav Simon Delobel), Louis Pasteurlaan 2, 9000 Ghent, Belgium. Include a return address so it can be sent back to you after the exhibition closes in January 2027.

Eulsukdo Open Call
Busan Metropolitan City has an open call for a site-specific ecological land artwork on Eulsukdo in Busan, responding to the theme “We Pass, the Earth Endures”. Eulsukdo is situated in a Brackish-water zone, a diverse habitat where forms of life are constantly in flux, and which is particularly vulnerable to climate change. It is one of Korea’s major migratory bird habitats; however, industrialisation and development in the late twentieth century significantly altered its environment. Since 1999, rewilding efforts have begun to revive its ecological diversity, yet Eulsukdo is now facing further biodiversity loss and rising sea levels.
Proposals should respond to the intersecting cycles of disappearance and emergence, degradation and recovery on Eulsukdo, and provide a vision of a future in which humans and nature coexist sustainably, moving beyond anthropocentric perspectives. The Urban Parks Division hopes that this project will establish Eulsukdo as a hub for environmental art and foster environmental awareness and action.
The project will receive 380 million KRW in support funds and a 20 million KRW artist fee.
Application Deadline: 22 November 2026, 23:59 (KST).
Who can apply? Individuals or teams professionally active in art, landscape architecture, architecture, design or related fields
How to apply? Applications should be in English or Korean. For further details on the site, project and how to apply, visit the website.

AFTER THE PALACE: Resonance – Video Mapping Contest
UnLoc are looking for artists to create new, site-specific audiovisual interventions to feature in a video mapping showcase projected onto the courtyard of Building “Z” of the New Administrative Centre in Nowa Huta. The site was the former Administrative Centre of the Lenin Steelworks, and the building’s scale and architecture have earned it the nickname “Doge’s Palace” among local residents. Building “Z” in particular was reserved exclusively for the plant’s high-ranking authorities, with regular factory workers barred from entering the space.
The event asks, “What happens to the architecture of power when the political and social system for which it was designed ceases to exist?” The proposed works should explore themes of dissonant heritage, the architecture of power and the identity and transformation of public space. This competition stems from research carried out within unLoc with a multidisciplinary team of historians, sociologists, artists and designers, exploring the intersection of architecture, art, technology and urban transformation.
The first-place prize is 10,000 PLN, the second-place prize is 6,000 PLN, and the third-place prize is 3,000 PLN. All three pieces will be presented during the AFTER THE PALACE: Resonance 2026 event on 23 November 2026 as part of the programme of the 34th Audio Art Festival.
Application Deadline: 30 October 2026, 23:59 (CET, UTC+1).
Who can apply? Open to international artists working within video mapping, animation, media art, site-specific projection and public space art.
