ERSTE Foundation offers five fellowships for young artists and five fellowships for emerging curators from the Czech Republic, Hungary, Romania, the Slovak Republic and Slovenia to take part in a course of their choice at the International Summer Academy of Fine Arts in Salzburg 2020.
The participants can choose from various courses taking place at Salzburg Summer Academy between 20 July – 29 August 2020.

>> THE VERA LIST CENTER FOR ART AND POLITICS (USA)
The Vera List Center for Art and Politics at The New School is pleased to invite applications for the 2020-2022 Vera List Center Fellowships. Three non-residential, two-year fellowships will be awarded to support scholarly and creative work that critically engages with the Vera List Center’s 2020-2022 biennial focus theme As for Protocols.

Support:
- The fellowships carry a US$15,000 stipend as well as extensive curatorial and professional development services to support the research, scholarship and creative work of the project from conception to production and presentation
- Each research fellowship is highly individualized, depending on the project and its intended outcomes.
- Fellows are supported for two years by the VLC’s curatorial and operational team as well as a graduate student research assistant.

>> “WALK ON EGGSHELLS!” FOLIE/CULTURE (CANADA)
With this theme, Folie/Culture tries to answer the following questions, among others:
- What forms of expression can people outside the norm use under the diktat of the exemplary? What can happen in a world where nothing should be disturbed?
- What art forms would self-annihilate due to ethical rigour?
- How can social tensions be addressed through art under the aegis of the culture of commentary and the benevolent gaze of fellow artists?
- In the age of the all-profiled and all-controlled, what is happening to politically engaged art and its potential for protest?
- Crumbling under the innumerable burdens brought about by our neo-liberalist system and in the face of the resulting exhaustion and medication use, how can we reasonably speak up?

>> DELFINA FOUNDATION (UNITED KINGDOM)
Delfina Foundation in partnership with the Ministry of Culture, Taiwan (ROC) is delighted to announce a residency open call for Taiwanese artists, resident in Taiwan.
The three-month residency will take place from 21 September – 20 December 2020, during our science_technology_society thematic programme.
Delfina Foundation’s programmes have been particularly focused on five thematic areas:
- The Politics of Food – on the production, consumption and distribution of food as well as food as a medium and metaphor to expose wider social and cultural concerns.
- Performance as Process – on performance, from daily rituals to live art, as a way of processing the world around us.
- science_technology_society – at the intersection between art, science and technology and new solutions through interdisciplinary collaborations.
- Collecting as Practice – on the politics, psychology and philosophy of collecting and the role of collectors and artists in relation collections and archives.
- The Public Domain – on the notion of public space, both in the physical and digital sense.

Support:
- A twelve-week residency in London, including one return, economy-class flight, and a living allowance for food/per diems (£30 per day) and materials (not exceeding £700);
- A single bedroom at Delfina Foundation, which is a shared house with some shared facilities, such as the laundry room, kitchen, and dining room;
- Opportunities to engage in the art scene in UK through structured and independent time and activities; and
- Access to a programme of planned group activities and visits to cultural organisations in the UK.
- Note: The visa fee and airport transfers will be covered and a local travel allowance will be available.
The scholar must belong to an EHESS lab
The artist must be the main designer of a new work or project. To be eligible, the artist must reside abroad
The selection committee will be particularly attentive to teams working in connection with the Marseilles activities of EHESS (especially the Festival Allez Savoir) or with Camargo’s priorities for the future of our societies.
Priority may also be given to projects for which a cultural institution is approached for production and/or promotion. The result of the collaboration will be presented to the EHESS and to Camargo during the residency.

- Hosting the team in residence during the month of residence at the Camargo Foundation (provision of an apartment with a fully equipped kitchen and bathroom);
- A one-month fellowship of an amount equivalent to that of the visiting professors program (4,000 euros for 28 days), as well as the costs related to the scholar’s residence (transportation costs if necessary, per diem).
>> AIRY – ARTIST IN RESIDENCE VÄSTERNORRLAND (SWEDEN)
Every year, they invite a ceramic artist, a sound artist and an author to stay at three inspiring rural locations in Region Västernorrland. Two residencies, ceramic and sound art, are located at Folk High Schools with arts courses, while the third, for visual narrative, is located at a health facility with a focus on the importance art and literature can play in healing.
Application deadline: 22 March 2020.

- a grant to cover travel and other expenses,
- a host at each location to support the residence artist.
CCA Kitakyushu operates Fellowship Program for young artists and researchers those who are engaged in art, curatorial work, design and architecture.
In the end of the program, the fellows are required to present the results of their project either in the report, exhibition, etc. with advice from the directors.

- The travel expense: CCA covers a return air fare (economy) from your home country to Kitakyushu according to CCA terms.
- Scholaship – JPY 200’000 is offered by CCA Scholarship Committee.
- Living expense in Kitakyushu: Approximately JPY60’000 – JPY 100’000 par month including the apartment, utility and daily expense. CCA office helps you to find your apartment here after you are accepted as fellow.
>> COMBINED RESIDENCY AT GMEA/LE LAIT ART CENTRE (FRANCE)
The artist selected will have to incorporate sound/acoustic material in the development of the work or works produced, with the prospect of a presentation in the art centre’s exhibition areas.
The interest of such a residency lies in pooling the resources and specific features of each of the two organizations, so as to offer the guest artist the best possible hosting and production conditions, and encourage a mix of activities, teams, and publics.
After the residency, which will include, in particular, a research and production session at the GMEA, an exhibition will be held in the Le Lait contemporary art centre venue.
