Contemporary Lynx is a proud media partner of the 19th Edition of the AFRYKAMERA African Film Festival: African Gaze – Queer. The event will take place from 29 November to 4 December 2024 in Warsaw. The events will take place in several locations: the Atlantic, Amondo and Wisła cinemas, the Ethnographic Museum and the Jasna 1 Club.
This year’s edition, entitled ‘African Gaze: Queer ’, presents the complex and multi-layered identities of the black and African queer community, queer love and different forms of resistance.
The programme of the 19th Edition of AFRYKAMERA will showcase almost 40 films, including feature-length films, documentaries and short films created by artistic persons from the LGBTQIA+ community. Audiences will be treated to Q&A meetings with the directors and numerous side events, including panel discussions and workshops.
