For the tenth year in a row, the art fair invites thousands of professionals, artists, collectors, and art enthusiasts to international encounters to experience the rich diversity of contemporary art.
With special programs such as STATEMENT, which this year deals with the urgent topic of ENERGY; CONTEXT, which gives deserved attention to overlooked artists of the late 20th century; and ZONE1, which promotes young artists with a strong connection to Austria internationally, the fair puts the contemporary art world in dialogue with pressing socio-political issues. With numerous accompanying art festivals and exhibition openings, viennacontemporary marks the beginning of September as a central hotspot for the international art scene.
