Art Collectors' Talk: Polish Contemporary Art in the International Art Collections. Photostory.

On April 4th, 2024, the Polish Culture Institute in Paris hosted a compelling panel discussion that explored the pivotal role of art collectors and curators in supporting and promoting Polish contemporary art on the international stage. Organized in association with Art Paris and collaboration with Contemporary Lynx Magazine, the event brought together a distinguished lineup of speakers, including Ettore Molinario, Oona Doyle, and Michał Molski.

The panellists shared their insights and experiences in championing Polish artists and contributing to the evolution of the country’s art scene. Ettore Molinario, an art collector and lecturer, provided valuable perspectives on building the Molinario Collection, while Oona Doyle, a curator and researcher at Thaddaeus Ropac Gallery, discussed her curatorial efforts to elevate Polish talent. Michał Molski, an art collector and the founder of MOLSKI gallery&collection, offered an insider’s view on discovering and supporting emerging Polish artists.

The discussion was moderated by Natalia Barbarska from the Institut Polonais de Paris and Sylwia Krasoń from Contemporary Lynx Magazine, facilitating an engaging dialogue between the panellists and the audience. Coinciding with the opening of the Art Paris fair, the event provided a unique opportunity for attendees to learn about new Polish artistic talents and discover works from the Molski Collection, which were presented during the event.
