This autumn, Turin will once again become a meeting point for the international contemporary art scene. Artissima Internazionale d’Arte Contemporanea di Torino, Italy’s only art fair devoted exclusively to contemporary art, has announced the galleries taking part in its 33rd edition, directed for the fifth consecutive year by Luigi Fassi.
From Friday, 30 October to Sunday, 1 November 2026, Artissima will bring together 183 Italian and international galleries, filling Turin with ambitious projects, new discoveries and unexpected encounters across generations of artists. Among them, 67 galleries will present monographic projects, placing individual artistic voices firmly at the centre of the fair.
The program unfolds across four flagship sections. Main section brings together some of the most prominent galleries on the international art scene, while New Entries introduces younger international galleries, active for less than five years. Monologue/Dialogue opens the door to experimental approaches and new forms of provocative art, while Art Editions focuses on editions and prints presented by galleries and non-profit organizations.
However there is so much more to discover during the fair. Artissima’s curated sections expand the fair’s perspective across generations, practices and artistic histories. Present Future section puts the spotlight on emerging talents, mostly under the age of 40. Back to the Future looks at pioneers of contemporary art through monographic presentations dedicated to artists who, in the years 1930 to 1990, challenged conventions and dared to make a difference. Meanwhile, Disegni section, is dedicated entirely to drawing — a distinctive feature of Artissima and the only section devoted to this medium at an Italian art fair.
The 2026 edition promises an especially rich mix of new art forms and established expressions. Emerging artists include C. Mae Bloom, Juliana Frontin, Che-Yu Hsu, Yun Hu and Matisse Mesnil will appear alongside influential figures such as Mirella Bentivoglio, Francesca Cataldi, Elisabetta Gut and Maria Lai. The result will create a program where different generations, approaches and artistic languages meet, overlap and create new possibilities.
With its emphasis on experimentation and discovery, Artissima continues to create a space where the contemporary art landscape can be seen not only as it is, but as it is becoming.
