K.K. Gallery Launches with Inaugural Exhibition Augury in London

A new chapter in London’s contemporary art scene begins this November with the launch of K.K., a new contemporary art gallery founded by Kate Kadeniuk, a regular contributor to Contemporary Lynx. Known to our readers for her insightful articles and engagement with the contemporary art world, Kate now embarks on a new venture, bringing her curatorial vision to life through an independent gallery.

Its inaugural exhibition, Augury, brings together nine international artists in the remarkable setting of the Church of St John the Baptist in Kensington.

Conceived as the first presentation of K.K.’s curatorial vision, Augury introduces an international programme dedicated to exhibiting contemporary art within historically and architecturally significant spaces. The gallery seeks to create a dialogue between artistic practices and places shaped by history, exploring the connections between the inner and outer worlds, the spiritual and the scientific, and the visible and the invisible.

Taking its title from the ancient Roman practice of interpreting signs in the flight of birds, Augury reflects on humanity’s enduring search for transformation. The exhibition considers how we reconnect with ourselves and the world around us, inviting visitors to look beyond inherited perceptions and engage with personal experience as a means of understanding reality.

The exhibition features new and recent paintings and sculptures by nine artists: Assha, CW Landon, Ivan Grabko, Arthur Muzo, Masha Reva, Juliet Aaltonen, Krystyna Melnyk, Gregoire Minana and Oleksandr Kryzhanovskyi.

The choice of venue is integral to the project. The Church of St John the Baptist in Kensington provides a distinctive setting for the exhibition’s exploration of consciousness, perception and transformation, bringing together contemporary artistic practices and a space rich in historical and spiritual significance.

For Kate Kadeniuk, K.K. is an extension of her curatorial practice and a platform for narratives that expand our understanding of wholeness and consciousness. At the heart of the project lies the conviction that art is inseparable from life, and that an artist and their work form one continuous process.

With Augury, K.K. establishes its identity as a gallery interested not only in presenting contemporary art, but also in creating meaningful encounters between art, architecture, history and the human experience.
