Mindscapes #3: Ruins & Renewal. Call for submissions.

We’re now working on the third issue of MINDSCAPES, a digital publication dedicated to exploring the intersections of art, ecology, space and care. This time, we’re embarking on an exploration of ruins – and what rises from them.

Through the lens of art, we look at ruins not only as remnants of the past but as blueprints for renewal — where memory, matter, and imagination intertwine. From architecture and urban decay to technology, artists collect archaeological traces and reimagine them as fertile ground for reflection and transformation, tracing how what once collapsed can become a source of new creation and connection.

For this upcoming issue, we are seeking original, critical, and poetic contributions that reflect on ruins and renewal as both material and metaphor — as sites of collapse and creation, destruction and possibility.

Explore MINDSCAPES! At Contemporary Lynx, we’re more than just a publication but a space for ideas, creativity, and critical conversations shaping contemporary culture to flourish. Alongside our regular content, our community will have a chance to delve into key topics that truly matter, with special issues resonating deeply across the art world.

We welcome pitches for:

  • essays
  • reflections on film, visual culture, or design

Deadline for pitches: October 31, 2025.

Deadline to deliver the full article: November 30, 2025, after the selection.

Please send us a short concept (approx. 5 – 6 sentences) and a few lines about yourself media@contemporarylynx.com. You can write in English or Polish.

Join us as we celebrate the artistic potential of ruins — fragments reimagined, spaces reborn, and creativity emerging from what remains.
