Contemporary Lynx is a proud media partners of the Sport Games! exhibition organised by the Polish Institute in Paris. Free guided tours will take place on 1 June from 19:30 to 00:00 (last entry at 23:30). Early booking of places is necessary.

Under the artistic direction of Claire Tancons, the programme for this major celebration of contemporary art promises to be sublime and fascinating. Part discovery, part stroll, this major event in the cultural life of Paris invites Parisians and tourists alike, free of charge, to encounter works by national and international artists.

The ‘Sport Games’ exhibition aims to show the multitude of phenomena linked to sport, the body and movement, revisited by contemporary artists. It highlights phenomena that are often neglected, ignored or only marginally present in social discourse. Sport is presented as a kind of game that has taken hold of social consciousness. It has become a kind of religion or meaning of life. It is part of social programmes from an early age, with athletes seen as superheroes.

The exhibition is organised jointly by the Polish Institute in Paris and the Mazovian Centre for Contemporary Art ‘Elektrownia’ in Radom, in cooperation with Contemporary Lynx magazine, to coincide with the XXXIII Olympic Games in Paris.
